Career

His position is the storm . His career began with Halleiner SK. Kastner is considered the last known player to emerge from the now defunct club. In autumn 2001 he moved to SV Braunau and in spring 2002 to LASK Linz. Both clubs played in the second-rate first division . In 2002 he moved back to his home club in Hallein. After a good season he was signed on June 30, 2003 by the Austria Salzburg amateurs, but immediately awarded to ASVÖ FC Puch in the regional league.

In 2004/05 Daniel Kastner was brought to the Austria Salzburg team and played there for the first time in the Bundesliga . He moved to SV Ried for the 2005/06 season , where he stayed until December 31, 2006. Then the contract was terminated and the 1.85 meter tall and 82 kg striker moved to the Regionalliga Ost (shirt number 27) after a trial session with the English second division club Plymouth Argyle and unsuccessful discussions with the club management of the Austria Wien Amateurs at ASK Schwadorf in Schwadorf . Schwadorf managed to get promoted to the first division with first place this season. In January 2008 he moved to SV Grödig in the Regionalliga West, where he got the number 9 and rose with the club. A year later, his contract with Grödig was terminated.

From March 2009 to February 2010 Kastner was the first Austrian with the Latvian football club Liepājas Metalurgs under contract. He had received a contract until the end of the 2008-09 season. Then he was without a club until July before he joined the Austrian fifth division Union Mondsee . Due to a protracted pubic bone inflammation , he ended his professional career at the age of 28 and has been a player's agent ever since .
