Daniel Risch (born March 5, 1978 in Grabs ) is a Liechtenstein politician ( VU ). Since March 30, 2017, he has been a deputy head of government and a member of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein with responsibility for the Ministry of Infrastructure, Economy and Sport .

education and profession

Daniel Risch attended the Liechtenstein grammar school in Vaduz , which he completed in 1998 when he passed the business school-leaving certificate. From 1999 to 2003 he studied business administration at the Universities of St. Gallen , Zurich and at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He graduated from the University of Zurich with a degree in economics ( lic. Oec. Pub. ). Following this, Daniel Risch completed a doctorate in business informatics at the University of Freiburg , where he received his doctorate in economics ( Dr. rer. Pol. ) In 2007 . From 2006 to 2007 Risch was a guest lecturer at the University of Melbourne, Australia, as part of an SNSF research stay .

During his doctoral studies, Daniel Risch worked from 2004 to 2007 as a research assistant and lecturer at the Competence Center E-Business at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in Basel . From 2007 he held various managerial positions at Unic AG , an e-business consultancy. Among other things, he was Head of Sales and Chief Marketing Officer of the Unic Group. Political career

Daniel Risch has been a member of the Party Presidium of the Fatherland Union , one of the two major people's parties in the Principality of Liechtenstein , since 2016 . After the state elections in Liechtenstein in 2017 , Risch was nominated by his party as deputy head of government for the coalition government with the Progressive Citizens' Party and subsequently with the inauguration on March 30, 2017 as such a member of the government. As a government councilor, he heads the Ministry for Infrastructure, Economy and Sport.

Personal

Daniel Risch is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Triesen . In addition to his professional activity, Risch has been a founding, organizing committee and patronage member of the art, culture and music festival FL1.LIFE in Schaan since 2009 . In addition, he held various administrative and supervisory board positions in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Germany and Austria until he entered government in 2017 and was a member of the board of directors at the IKT Forum Liechtenstein .
