Adrian Hasler (born February 11, 1964 in St. Gallen ) is a Liechtenstein politician ( FBP ) and has been the Principality's head of government since March 27, 2013 . In addition, Hasler is responsible for the Ministry of Presidency and Finance in the current cabinet .

biography

Hasler comes from Balzers . From 1979 to 1984 he attended the Liechtenstein Grammar School in Vaduz , which he with the Swiss Federal Matura Type E completed. After finishing school, he studied business administration from 1984 to 1991 , specializing in finance and accounting, at the University of St. Gallen and received a licentiate ( lic.oec.HSG ). Hasler was Head of Controlling in the Thin Films division at Balzers AG from 1992 to 1996. From 1996 to 2004 he was head of group finance and deputy director at the administrative and private bank in Vaduz.

In 2001 he was elected to the State Parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) . As a member of parliament, he was a member of the Finance Commission. In March 2004, he resigned his mandate to become the new police chief of the Liechtenstein National Police . On April 1, 2004, he replaced the interim police chief Martin Meyer . For Hasler, the deputy representative Marco Ospelt moved up to the state parliament.

In the state elections at the beginning of 2013 , he was the FBP's lead candidate for the office of head of government. On March 27, 2013 he took up his new office following the election victory of the FBP and the renewed agreement of a coalition government with the VU . Jules high , at that time head of the Criminal Investigation Department, was on March 28, interim chief of police.

Hasler is a Roman Catholic, married and has two children.

In 2016 he announced that he would run again as head of government for the FBP for the state elections in 2017 , together with Aurelia Frick and Mauro Pedrazzini . Despite losses, the FBP also emerged victorious from this election and Hasler was able to continue his office in a new coalition government with VU.
