Hans Brunhart

Hans Brunhart (born March 28, 1945 in Balzers ) was head of government of Liechtenstein , foreign minister and finance minister from April 26, 1978 to May 26, 1993. He was a member of the Fatherland Union .

biography

Brunhart attended elementary school in Balzers from 1952 to 1957 and secondary school in Vaduz from 1957 to 1958 . He then went to the Untere Waid grammar school in Mörschwil in the canton of St. Gallen from 1958 to 1964 , and finally to the Gutenberg Lyzeum in Balzers from 1964 to 1966. After finishing school, Brunhart studied German from 1966 to 1967 at the University of Friborg and from 1967 to 1972 at the University of Basel .

Subsequently, from 1972 onwards, he became head of the Liechtenstein State Library and the State Archives. He held this post until 1974, when he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein on March 27 by Prince Franz Josef II . On April 26, 1978 he was appointed Head of Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein. Brunhart held this post until 1993.

From 1996 to the end of 2011 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Verwaltungs- und Privat-Bank in Vaduz . He had been a member of the Board of Directors since 1994.
