Darius Reynaud (born December 29, 1985 in Luling , Louisiana ) is an American American football player on the position of running back and wide receiver . He plays for the Tennessee Titans in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

college

Reynaud played his first games for West Virginia University in 2005, but only as a substitute. Despite sporadic missions, he still got 297 yards and 30 passes as a wide receiver. He helped his team win the Sugar Bowl against the Georgia Bulldogs with his touchdown . In 2006 Reynaud fought for a starting place and came to 520 yards of space, but scored only two touchdowns. He showed his diverse range of uses this season against the Louisville Cardinals , among others , when he replaced the injured running back. He ended up running 221 yards. In addition, the West Virginia Mountaineers used him as a kick- return, as which he ran another 813 yards.

In 2007 Darius Reynaud was primarily used as a wide receiver again. With two touchdowns he was instrumental in the victory in the Fiesta Bowl .

NFL

Despite talks with the New England Patriots during the NFL Combine , Reynaud was not signed by any team in the 2008 NFL Draft . As a free agent , he came to the Minnesota Vikings as a kick-returner. He made his debut in week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars . He's had eight kick returns that season, gaining 201 yards of space. In 2009 he already played eleven games, but also recorded three fumbles . After that season, the Minnesota Vikings decided to use him primarily as a running back.

Reynaud moved to the New York Giants at the beginning of the 2010 season together with quarterback Sage Rosenfels .

He played the 2012 season with the Tennessee Titans . The following year he was released during the current season and came briefly with the New York Jets , for which he completed two games.
