Julius Riyadi Cardinal Darmaatmadja SJ (born December 20, 1934 in Muntilan , Indonesia ) is Archbishop Emeritus of Jakarta .

Life

Julius Riyadi Darmaatmadja studied in Mertoyudan , Giri Sonta and Poona . He was ordained priest in 1969 and made perpetual profession in the Jesuit order in 1975. Before and after his ordination he worked as a lecturer and in the care of the next generation of the Order before he became Provincial of the Indonesian Jesuits in 1981 . At the conclave in 2013 Julius Darmaatmadja could not attend for health reasons.
