Darsser Nature Film Festival
The Darsser Naturfilmfestival is a film festival for nature and environmental films that has been held every autumn since 2005 on the Baltic Sea peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst . The German Nature Film Prize has been awarded at the festival since 2008 , which has comprised two main categories since 2013.
The festival
The Darss Nature Film Festival was launched on the occasion of the 15th birthday of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park and was first held in 2005. The festival is organized by the Förderverein Nationalpark Boddenlandschaft eV The venues are the national park center “Darßer Arche” in Wieck , the multimedia hall in Zingst and the Ozeaneum in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund . The festival has a national audience that visits the touristically important Darß with the national park during the crane migration .
Awards and laureates
In 2012, the German Nature Film Prize was worth 10,000 euros, all other categories were endowed with 1,000 euros each. From 2013 there will be a “best film” each from the categories “Wilderness Nature” and “People and Nature”. The two main prizes are endowed with 7,500 euros each.
