action

Angela Sandau comes from a simple background and earns her living as a seamstress. The 18-year-old dreams of bigger things, and the windy petty criminal Cesar offers her to make these dreams come true. He suggests that the inexperienced Berliner go with him to St. Moritz . There he wanted to bewitch older women in order to then take them down by the line and thread, while Angela should use her feminine charms with correspondingly older and above all wealthy men. Angela initially resists Cesars, but when her relationship with Herbert falls apart, she does join Cesar.

She becomes his lover and takes part in Cesar's raids. This does not go well for long and Angela is arrested. As a minor, Angela Sandau is put by the state welfare in a correctional home for "fallen" girls, where a corpulent director rules with all severity. Angela's former boss Conny wants to free her from the jail end, but expects something in return, and that is morally disreputable: the girl should be to the will of her business customers. Only the young colleague Fred, whom Angela still knows from her time in the tailoring, turns out to be a true friend and wants to help her to find her way back on the right path of virtue.
