action

After a long search, a team of archaeologists led by Prof. Julian Fuchs and his assistant Corbeck discovered the tomb of the ancient Egyptian Queen Tera , also known as the "Queen of Darkness". With their help, they hope to uncover the secret of eternal life, since even after three thousand years it has still not decayed and looks like it is just sleeping. Apart from the unscrupulous Corbeck, the group gets doubts because Tera was buried alive at the time and her right hand had been severed as a sign that she had evil powers. Finally, everyone takes an artifact from the tomb and the matter is hushed up.

Twenty years later, however, their discovery overtakes them: Tera's spirit temporarily takes possession of Margaret , the daughter of Prof. Fuchs. She was born at the exact moment when Julian opened the burial chamber and she looks very much like the sleeping Tera. Julian had also given his daughter a precious ring, which had once been Tera's favorite jewelry. When Margaret put the ring on, she obviously drew a curse. One expedition member after the other dies under mysterious circumstances and the respective tera artifact has been removed from all of them. When Corbeck contacts Margaret, he reveals to her that a special constellation of stars is imminent. When this occurs, a spiritual gate should open and the possibility is given to awaken Tera with the help of the artifacts.

Corbeck can finally persuade Julian and Margaret to help him with the resurrection ritual. But before the last sentence of the incantation is uttered, they grab two Egyptian sacrificial daggers and kill Corbeck. Julian had found out that his beloved daughter would die when Tera wakes up and her body is restored. But Corbeck wanted with all his might to wake Tera, he didn't care what became of Margaret. Despite the incomplete incantation, Tera actually comes to life and uses her power to kill Prof. Fuchs. The enormous forces released in the process bring the entire vault to collapse. Giant rocks bury both Margaret and the Queen of Darkness.

The only survivor of the collapse is treated in a hospital. Nobody knows who she is because she has not yet regained consciousness. In addition, the rubble has disfigured her that it is impossible to identify. And when the woman wakes up, she struggles to speak. It remains unclear whether Margaret survived, or perhaps Queen Tera.
