Daschanwesen

The so-called Daschanwesen is a listed baroque stable wing in the municipality of Ismaning ( Upper Bavaria ), on the church square (file number D-1-84-130-7). The building was erected around 1730 under the Freising Prince-Bishop Johann Theodor as part of the economy of his castle opposite the parish church of St. Johann Baptist . Today it forms the northern end of the historical center of Ismaning.

The property consists of an elongated stall wing. In the middle, the building is broken through by a large double gate passage. The plastered facade is structured by pilaster strips . On the western and eastern front sides, the stables are closed off by two three-storey front buildings with hipped roofs typical of the Munich area .

Under Prince-Bishop Johann Theodor, up to 200 horses were housed in the building. With the sale of the palace in 1899, the stables also came into the possession of the city of Munich . In 1919 the municipality of Ismaning acquired the castle and associated buildings. Three weeks after the purchase, the community with the couple Franz and Katharina Dasch exchanged the stables for their farm, which was built in 1903 opposite on today's church square. Today there is a bistro in the building.
