The wayside shrine for the victims of the plane crash of August 25, 1918 is a hallway monument in the municipality of Ismaning ( Upper Bavaria ) (file number D-1-84-130-13). It was built in 1918 on Mayerbacherstraße about four kilometers east of the village, in Erdinger Moos .

The memorial commemorates the crash of a German military aircraft near the Goldachhof shortly before the end of the First World War . Reserve lieutenant Georg Joseph Kuhner (born October 10, 1892) from Hochspeyer and Sergeant Ulrich Georg Frey (born July 5, 1890) from Burgau were killed in the accident.

The wayside shrine is about two meters high and has neo-baroque elements with its pointed gable top . A sheet metal relief depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is set up in a niche behind a wrought iron grille .

In the years after its construction, the wayside shrine fell into disrepair. Only a few fishermen from Ismaning, who passed the monument on the way to their fishing grounds, decided to restore it.
