The Dauphiné is a ski jumping hill in Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte near Grenoble, France .

history

The ski jump was constructed in 1966 by the German architect Heini Klopfer . In 1968 the large hill competitions of the X. Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble took place here. Olympic champion in 1968 was Vladimir Belousov from the USSR .

Later the hill was hardly used anymore. Only in 1980 and 1981 were several World Cup competitions held here. The jumping competitions planned in 1982 had to be canceled due to lack of snow. In 1990 the hill was closed and has been falling into disrepair ever since.
