David Monas Maloney

David Monas Maloney (born March 15, 1912 in Littleton , Colorado , USA ; † February 15, 1995 in Wichita , Kansas , USA ) was Bishop of Wichita .

Life

David Monas Maloney received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Denver on December 8, 1936 .

On November 5, 1960 Pope John XXIII appointed him . as titular bishop of Ruspae and auxiliary bishop in Denver. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi , donated him episcopal ordination on January 4, 1961 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Denver, Urban John Vehr , and the Bishop of Cheyenne , Hubert Michael Newell .

Maloney attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Pope Paul VI appointed him on December 2, 1967 Bishop of Wichita .

On July 16, 1982, David Monas Maloney resigned as Bishop of Wichita.
