David Singer (politician)

Richard Martin David Singer (born February 24, 1865 in Seligenstadt ; † February 10, 1932 ibid) was a Hessian tax officer and politician ( center ) and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

David Singer was the son of the farmer Friedrich Singer and his wife Dorothea, nee Roth. Singer, who was a Catholic, married Anna Maria Margarethe nee Grein (1870–1944). From 1881 to 1887 he was a tax officer in Seligenstadt and from 1888 to 1903 he was the bureau chief of the Lauterbach and Seligenstadt tax offices.

From 1911 to 1918 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 18 / Seligenstadt . From 1903 to 1931 he was mayor of Seligenstadt.
