Arnold von Jungsfeld

Baron Arnold Ferdinand (Gedult) von Jungsfeld (born May 24, 1810 in Weisenau ; † February 7, 1893 in Mainz ) was a Hessian judge and member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Arnold von Jungsfeld was the son of the first Mayor of Mainz, Franz Gedult von Jungsfeld, from the noble family Gedult von Jungsfeld and his wife Maria Anna Therese, née von Sachs. Jungefeld, who was a Catholic, married Barbara Friederike née von on June 6, 1843 in Mainz Sachs.

He studied law and became an accessist in Mainz. In 1841 he became a supplementary judge at the peace court of the 1st district of the city of Mainz , in 1845 justice of the peace in the peace court Wörrstadt and in 1849 judge at the district court Mainz . In 1851 he became a substitute for the General State Procurator at the Mainz Higher Court , there in 1853 as State Procurator and in 1862 as Chief Justice. From 1870 he was a secret chief judge and in 1877 vice president of the Mainz high court. In 1879 he retired.

From 1865 to 1872 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 4 / Seligenstadt . From 1878 to 1884 he was again a member of the second chamber, this time for the constituency of the city of Mainz. In the estates he represented clerical-conservative positions.
