Edmund Hardy (politician)

Edmund Adam Hardy (born April 23, 1775 in Mainz , † July 2, 1839 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Edmund Hardy was the son of government councilor Edmund Adam Hardy and his wife Maria Margaretha. Hardy, who was a Catholic, married Elisabetha Josefa née Rapallo (1784–1836).

Edmund Hardy became a judicial officer in Seligenstadt in 1803 and from 1821 to 1832 district administrator in the district of Seligenstadt . In 1832 he became a councilor in the college with the character of a government councilor, which was to be formed because of the civil status of the Starkenburg province .

From 1932 to 1939 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 4 / Seligenstadt-Babenhausen . In the estates he represented liberal-conservative positions.
