Franz Jakob Nessel

Franz Jakob Nessel (also: Friedrich ) (born June 30, 1808 in Seligenstadt ; † December 13, 1862 in Beerfelden ) was a Hessian judge and politician and member of the 1st and 2nd chambers of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Franz Jakob Nessel was the son of the master roofer Caspar Nessel and his wife Katharina, née Delge. Nessel, who was a Catholic, married Sybille Josephe nee Rogner (Regner).

Nessel studied law and graduated in 1833 with a doctorate in law. jur. from. He became court clerk at the court in Darmstadt , and in 1846 assessor with a voice at the district court in Seligenstadt . In 1853 he moved to the Lorch regional court in the same position and in 1861 became a regional judge at the Beerfelden regional court .

From 1849 to 1850 he was an elected member of the first chamber of the estates. From 1851 to 1856 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 15 / Seligenstadt .
