Dawit Chuzishvili
Dawit Khuzishvili ( Georgian დავით ხუციშვილი ; born October 19, 1990 in Sagaredscho , Kakheti ) is a Georgian wrestler . He won a bronze medal in free style in welterweight at the European championships and at the world championships in 2011 .
Career
The only thing known about Dawit Chuzishvilivili is that he began wrestling in 2000. His first coach was Ramas Asabarchvili. He focuses on free style and has been coached by Aleko Kachniashvili since 2008.
His international career began in 2006. However, this year he only finished 12th at the Junior European Cadet Championships in Istanbul in the weight class up to 50 kg body weight. He did much better at the Junior European Championships (Cadets) 2007 in Warsaw , because he finished there in the weight class up to 58 kg body weight behind the Russian Adam Jakubow. He also won a medal at the 2009 European Junior Championships in Tbilisi. In welterweight he came in third place behind Georgi Rubajew from Russia and Musa Gurbuz from Turkey . At the Junior World Championships of the same year in Ankara , he lost the welterweight in his second fight against the South Korean Lee Yoon-suk and was eliminated. That is why he only ended up in 16th place at this championship.
In his last junior year 2010, Dawit Chuzischwili had great successes. He was first in Samokow ( Bulgaria ) junior European welterweight champion and then a month later in Budapest also junior world champion in the same weight class. In the final fights he defeated Söner Demirtas from Turkey both times .
In 2011 he was also very successful in his first senior year. At the European Championships in Dortmund he defeated Andriy Shyyka from Germany , Dan Palinkas from Slovakia and Marius Lucian Atofanin from Romania on points. In the semifinals he lost to Musa Murtasalijew from Armenia , but then defeated Kiril Tersiew from Bulgaria with 2-1 rounds and 8-2 points in the battle for the bronze medal . He then won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Istanbul that year . He defeated Romeo Djoumessi from Cameroon , Philipp Crepaz from Austria and Krystian Brozozowski from Poland on points. Then he lost in the quarterfinals to Sadegh Saeed Goudarzi from Iran . But since he reached the final, he was able to secure this bronze medal in the consolation round by winning over Murad Gaidarow from Belarus and Abdulhakim Schapijew from Kazakhstan .
In 2012 Dawid Chuzischwili reached the final of the European Championship in Belgrade with four wins , in which he was defeated by Denis Zargusch from Russia. He became vice European champion. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, for which Dawit Chuzishvili was qualified by his third place at the 2011 World Cup, he won over Pürewdschawyn Önörbat , Mongolia and Augusto Midana, Guinea-Bissau. Then he lost to Denis Zargusch from Russia. Since this did not reach the final, he had to retire and came in 6th place.
