Location and history

Dayuan is located on the northern edge of Taoyuan City on the Taiwan Strait coast , the neighboring districts are Guanyin to the west, Zhongli to the south and Luzhu to the east. The area of the district is largely flat and traditionally agricultural, mainly through rice cultivation. The coast consists partly of a sandy beach.

meaning

Dayuan is home to Taiwan's largest and most important international airport, Taiwan Taoyuan Airport . The headquarters of China Airlines , the most important Taiwanese airline, as well as the bases of the airlines EVA Air , Tigerair Taiwan and V Air are located here . The airport and thus also the district are connected to the Taiwanese long-distance transport network and to the greater Taipei area by highway No. 2 .
