Deidesheimer Hofstück

Hofstück is the name of a large location in the Rhineland-Palatinate wine-growing region of the Palatinate . The major location is here in the Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstrasse area ; it has a size of 1401 ha. Its height is between 104 and 190 m above sea level. NHN , it is 20% pendent and 80% flat. The soil consists mostly of clay, sand and gravel. The Otterberger Hof in Deidesheim, at the corner of Heumarktstrasse and Stadtmauergasse, gave its name to the vineyard ; the name was first mentioned in 1310.
