Delbrück (family)

Delbrück is the name of a Lower Saxon family from Alfeld (Leine) , which begins its direct line-up with Daniel Delbrück or Delbrügge (around 1645–1719), citizens and brewers, councilors and state treasurers in Alfeld.

Noble

  • Prussian nobility by awarding the Order of the Black Eagle in Berlin on January 18, 1896 ( coat of arms of April 29, 1896) for the royal Prussian Minister of State Rudolph Delbrück .
  • Prussian nobility by being awarded the Order of the Black Eagle upon dismissal from his offices in Berlin on May 22, 1916 (coat of arms of July 31, 1916) for Clemens Delbrück , Royal Prussian State Minister and State Secretary of the Interior.
  • Coat of arms of the aristocratic family: In black behind a red arched bridge spanning the shield on a turbulent sea, a black galley, the black and white pinned mast of which is held at its top by a bare arm growing out of clouds on the right upper corner; on the helmet with red and silver covers a gold-armored black eagle.

The Delbrück family has been running the non-profit Delbrück Family Foundation since 1873 , which promotes social, scientific and artistic work.
