Delia Boccardo
Delia Boccardo (born January 29, 1948 in Genoa ) is an Italian actress .
Life
Boccardo spent much of her childhood and early adolescence with her parents in Nervi . After attending boarding school in Switzerland, she became a student at the Istituto Poggio Imperiale in Florence and eventually went to college in Sussex , England, where she stayed for about three years. In 1965 she moved to Rome to attend the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia , which she did not graduate with, however. In 1967 the very pretty actress made her debut on stage in Arthur Miller's view from the bridge next to Raf Vallone . Film offers and thus the cinema debut (in the bizarre spaghetti western Three Pistols against Cesare ) followed. Until the mid-1970s she shot genre films as well as with directors such as Maurizio Ponzi , Nino Manfredi and Pupi Avati , but was rarely able to exhaust her mimic skills, as she was often reduced to her physical characteristics and used as a decorative accessory to the films. After that, it throttled its film output, but remained a regular guest on the big screen until the mid-1990s.
For television, Boccardo made crime films based on Francis Durbridge ( Come un uragano , directed by Silverio Blasi 1971), literary adaptations ( Martin Eden under Giacomo Battiato , 1979) and mafia films ( Il cugino americano , also by Battiato, 1986). One of the best-known roles of later years, in which she appeared frequently in television miniseries, was that of the mother of the character "Michela Rocco" in I ragazzi del muretto 2 1993. From 1998 to 2008 she played in the soap Opera Incantesimo , the role of " Tilly Nardi ”. Since the mid-1980s, Boccardo has intensified her stage engagement, working closely with Luca Ronconi .
In 1989 she was nominated for a silver ribbon for her performance in Cavalli si nasce .
Boccardo is the sister of actress Gabriella Boccardo . In 2002 she attempted suicide.
