content

An organized gang of criminals is planning their second raid in Great Britain after a successful coup. The Scotland Yard suspects a traitor in their ranks, so Inspector Clouseau is the Prime Minister appointed to the UK to solve the case. Commissioner Braithwaite, who so far led the investigation, has been roused by the inspector's interventions. Clouseau manages to prevent two assassinations, but as a result he is kidnapped by the gang. This makes masks of his face in order to carry out further bank robberies in Switzerland. Ultimately, Clouseau succeeds in thwarting the criminals' plan and unmasking the traitor in the yard.

criticism

Renata Adler wrote in the New York Times on July 25, 1968 that the comedy was so "uninspired" and so "relentlessly terrible" that it made the audience choke rather than laugh.

"Far less original and amusing than the 'real' Pink Panther comedies."

Trivia
