Dsjanis Tsche Slava Petrovich Hrot ( Belarusian Дзяніс Чэслававіч Грот , Russian Денис Чеславович Гроть / Denis Tscheslawowitsch Grot * 6. January 1984 in Minsk , Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic ) is a Russian - Belarusian ice hockey player , who most recently in HC Ugra in the Continental hockey League was under contract.

Career

Dsjanis Hrot began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of Elemasch Elektrostal , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, in the 2001/02 season . Then the defender signed with Lokomotive Yaroslavl , but could not prevail there initially, so that he was used in the 2002/03 season only for the second team in the third-class Pervaya league . In addition, he was loaned to the second division club HK Lipetsk for a large part of the season . After a year with Lokomotives first team in the super league , the former junior international signed at the beginning of the 2004/05 season with its league rivals HK Sibir Novosibirsk , who gave him to Amur Khabarovsk from the Vysschaya League towards the end of the season .

In the summer of 2005, Hrot received a one-year contract in the Russian capital with HK Spartak Moscow . There, the native Belarusian was able to complete an entire season in the super league for the first time before he spent two years at Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . For the 2008/09 season , his ex-club HK Sibir Novosibirsk brought him back, where he made five assists in 54 games in his first year in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . Then the left shooter signed with KHL newcomer Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg , with whom he failed in the first playoff round for the Gagarin Cup to Salawat Yulayev Ufa . For the 2010/11 season he was obliged by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . There he played until December 2011 before he returned to Amur Khabarovsk. In May 2012 he was signed by Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk and played for the club until October 2013. Then he was active for a few games at HK Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk .

International

For Russia , Hrot took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2002 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2004 .
