Dennis Hediger (born September 22, 1986 ) is a Swiss football player .

Career

Dennis Hediger is considered a very strong and persistent midfielder, which is why he is also known as a running miracle or a man with the three lungs . From 2005 he played for three years in the third highest league in Switzerland, the first division , first with the BSC Young Boys (YB) U21 and then with FC Biel , where he last led the team as captain. In 2008 the midfielder was promoted to the Challenge League with FC Biel .

For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Bernese Oberland club FC Thun , where he signed a three-year contract. Although there was still an ongoing contract with FC Biel until 2011, Hediger made use of an exit clause, according to which he can change clubs if an offer from the Axpo Super League is made.

FC Thun won the Challenge League this season and was promoted to the Axpo Super League . Dennis Hediger's contracts with FC Thun have been renewed again and again and he was even captain of the team when he tore a cruciate ligament in my right knee in a duel with Djibril Sow from Young Boys Bern on February 11, 2019 . This injury put Dennis Hediger's career in jeopardy because his return to the team was delayed again and again due to knee pain.
