The Departamento Languiñeo is located in the west of the province of Chubut in southern Argentina and is one of the 15 administrative units of the province.
It is bordered to the north by the department of Cushamen , to the east by the departments of Gastre and Paso de Indios and to the south by the department of Tehuelches and to the west by Chile and the department of Futaleufú .
The capital of the Languiñeo department is Tecka .
