The department of Río Senguer is located in the southwest of the province of Chubut in southern Argentina and is one of the 15 administrative units of the province.
It borders on the Tehuelches and Paso de Indios departments to the north, the Sarmiento department to the east, the Santa Cruz province to the south and Chile to the west .
The capital of the Río Senguer department is Alto Río Senguer .
