Reviews
Iain Scott from the portal "The One-Line-Review" described the short film as poorly imaginative, reasonably entertaining, with a few boring parts.
background
The film is the last of twelve short comedies that Charles Chaplin directed for the Mutual Film Corporation from 1916 to 1917.
Chaplin occupied the role of the family chauffeur with Toraichi Kono ( 高 野 虎 市 ), his own chauffeur, secretary and bodyguard.
For Eric Campbell it was the last film he starred in. Chaplin, who had signed a new contract with First National , planned Campbell as the villain in his next film projects. But Campbell died in December 1917 of injuries sustained in a car accident he had caused while drunk.
