Dereova ( Turkish for Bach plain ) (Kurd. Deriye) is a village in the Nazımiye district of the Turkish province of Tunceli . Dereova is located about 10 km northeast of the district town of Nazımiye.

In 1985 Dereova had 245 inhabitants and in 2000 it had a total of 427 inhabitants. In 2009 the number of inhabitants was 65.

Dereova belongs to the Bucak Büyükyurt and has a health station. The road to Dereova is unpaved, narrow and full of switchbacks.

The waterfall in Dereova ( Dereova Şelalesi ) is known. This waterfall is connected with the tradition of a newlywed milkmaid whose milk was knocked over and who now took the water as a substitute, which turned into milk. For this reason the waterfall is also called Gelin Pınarı , the source of the bride.

Dereova has repeatedly been the scene of clashes between the PKK and the security forces in recent years . Skirmishes and operations ensue. In 2008 an explosive device from the PKK exploded on the main road between Dereova and the district capital. In 2008 the PKK also kidnapped two people who were supplying the Jandarma barracks near Dereova.
