John Noob (born January 2, 1969 in Sudbury , Ontario ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who plays on the position of defender . In the second highest German league he was active for the EHC Trier , the EHC Neuwied and the Hamburg Crocodiles .

Career

John Noob began his professional career in Europe in 1990 with the Ayr Raiders in the British Hockey League . He spent the following two seasons with the Sunderland Chiefs and the 1993/94 season with ESV Königsbrunn in the German regional league .

In 1996 Noob played for the first time in the second-rate first division (North) , where he went on the ice for 1½ seasons for EHC Trier , before joining their league competitor EHC Neuwied for half a season. He then spent one last year in the first division, where he played for the Hamburg Crocodiles in 1998/99 .

He completed the following seasons with changing clubs in the third-class league or the fourth-class regional league , initially a season at ESC Erfurt , for which he again laced his skates from 2005 to 2007 . Noob's other positions were at ESV Bayreuth in 2001/2002 and 2009/2010 , ERV Schweinfurt ( 2002/03 ), ERC Hassfurt ( 2003/04 ), EC Wilhelmshaven-Stickhausen ( 2004/05 ) and EHC Waldkraiburg ( 2007 / 08 ) and the ESV Hügelsheim ( 2008/09 ). In the 2009/10 season he was active as a player-coach at EHC Bayreuth.

Noob has been under contract with the upper division ESC Braunlage since the 2010/11 season .
