history

The team was founded in 2004 as a franchise of the Southern Professional Hockey League . In the SPHL, the Huntsville Havoc won the league's championship title, the President's Cup, for the first time in the 2009/10 season . After the second place in the regular season, the team was able to prevail in the playoffs after victories over the Pensacola Ice Flyers and the Knoxville Ice Bears in the final with a sweep in the best-of-five series against the Mississippi Surge , who in the regular season were still number one ahead of Huntsville. In previous years, Huntsville was only a mediocre in the league and never got past fourth place in the regular season or the second playoff round.

Trainer

In the first four years of its existence, the Huntsville Havoc were looked after by the Canadian John Gibson . Since the 2009/10 season, a Canadian, Randy Murphy, has been in charge of the franchise. The former European legionnaire immediately won the President's Cup with the Huntsville Havoc .
