Derlis González , full name Derlis Alberto González Galeano (born March 20, 1994 in Mariano Roque Alonso , Paraguay ) is a Paraguayan football player . He is used in the storm and has been under contract with the Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev since the 2015/16 season .

Career

González was at the beginning of his career from 2010 to 2012 in the ranks of the Paraguayan club Rubio Ñu , for which he completed a total of 50 league games and scored eight goals. In July 2012 he moved to Portugal to Benfica Lisbon . There he was part of the U-19 squad in the Liga de Honra , but was not used. In mid-February 2013 he was loaned to Club Guaraní in Paraguay. Until his return to Benfica at the end of the year, he played there in 32 league games and scored 14 times in the opposing goal. He was also used in four matches (one goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2013 . Another loan deal followed in mid-January 2014. This time the receiving club was Club Olimpia , for which he played 20 league games in the first half of the year and scored nine goals. On July 29, 2014, FC Basel signed González and gave him a five-year contract. He made his debut for the first team of FC Basel on July 19, 2014 in a 2-1 away win against FC Aarau . He scored his first league goal on August 31, 2014 in a 3-1 home win against BSC Young Boys . On September 16, 2014, he scored his first Champions League goal in a 5-1 loss to Real Madrid .

The 2014/15 season was very successful for González and FC Basel. The team finished the 2014/15 soccer championship as champions with 12 points ahead of 2nd placed BSC Young Boys and 25 points ahead of 3rd placed FC Zurich . Basel was repeatedly in the final of the Swiss Cup , which was lost to FC Sion 0: 3. Basel reached the round of 16 in the 2014/15 Champions League season . Under coach Paulo Sousa González made a total of 47 appearances, including 26 in the Super League, 2 in the Cup, 8 in the Champions League and 11 in test matches. He scored 7 goals, three in the Super League, three in the Champions League and 1 in the friendly matches.

On July 30, 2015, FC Basel confirmed González's departure. The offensive player has signed a five-year contract with Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev . For the club from Kiev , he played 14 league games and scored two goals. There are also eight appearances in the Champions League (one goal) and four in the national cup competition. After González from August 2018 through early 2020 on loan to Brazil in Santos played, he moved in February 2020 to his home for Club Olimpia.

National team

González was active in both the Paraguayan U-17 and U-20 . With the U-17 he took part in the 2011 South American Championship, was used seven times during the tournament and scored one goal. With the U-20 he finished 2nd at the U-20 South American Championships in 2013 . He contributed to this with four hits in nine missions. At the U-20 World Cup in Turkey in 2013 , he advanced with the team to the round of 16. This resulted in four World Cup appearances for him, in which he hit the opposing goal once. He is a member of the Paraguayan national team . So far (as of January 3, 2016) he has played 18 international matches for them, scoring a total of three goals. With the "Albirroja" he took part in the 2015 Copa America . In the quarter-finals against Brazil , he converted both the extra-time penalty as well as the decisive penalty in the penalty shoot-out and thus played a significant role in the semi-finals of the tournament. However, apart from the sporting events, this also had negative effects. González's uncle died of a heart attack during the celebration.
