Des'ree
Des'ree (* the thirtieth November 1968 in London as Desiree Annette Weeks ) is a British singer . She was one of the most successful British soul - pop singers in the 1990s.
Life
Des'ree's debut album Mind Adventures was released in 1992 and contained the hit single Feel So High . In 1993 she published the duet Delicate with Terence Trent D'Arby .
Her second album I Ain't Movin ' (1994) contained the single You Gotta Be , which was in the top 5 of the Billboard charts . The single Life from the album Supernatural (1998) was a Europe-wide top 10 success and Des'ree's greatest success in Germany . The album also contained a duet with Babyface with Fire . Her fourth album, Dream Soldier, was a commercial flop; it did not reach a position in the German album charts.
Awards
In 1999 she won a BRIT Award for best British solo artist.
Others
In 2007, the lyrics of her song Life were voted worst lyrics of all time by listeners on BBC station 6 Music .
