German women's basketball championship 1956
The final round of the German women's basketball championship in 1956 took place from May 12th to 13th, 1956 at the same time as the men's championships in Düsseldorf . The four qualified teams determined the tenth German women's basketball champion in a knockout system . The tournament was won by Heidelberger TV , who started as the defending champion and beat Hamburger SV in the final with 69:46 (35:12) . Third place went to USC Heidelberg , fourth place went to Neukölln Sportfreunde .
