German women's basketball championship 1954
The final round of the German women's basketball championship in 1954 took place from April 3 to 4, 1954, at the same time as the men's championships in Heidelberg . A total of four teams determined the eighth German women's basketball champion in a knockout system . The tournament was won by TSG 78 Heidelberg , who beat TB Heidelberg in the final with 33:28 (18:14) . Third place went to the OSC Berlin , fourth place went to the Neukölln Sportfreunde , who started the competition as defending champions.
The TSG 78 Heidelberg championship team, trained by Kurt Siebenhaar , consisted of B. Sauer, I. Wendling, A. Heinrich, E. Weiß, H. Kreische, E. Pfeiffer, E. Hopp, A. Siebenhaar, B. Walter, E. Zimmermann and A. Spahl.
