1st women's basketball league 1995/96
The 1st women's basketball league in 1995/96 was the 25th season of the top German division in women's basketball . German champion was the defending champion Barmer TV 1846 Wuppertal , who was able to prevail in the play-off final against the SG dolobe Aschaffenburg-Mainhausen . Since Wuppertal was already entitled to participate as defending champion in the Euroleague Women 1996/97, the finalist from Aschaffenburg also qualified for the Euroleague.

The main round of the 1995/96 season was played between September 1995 and February 1996. The eight best teams qualified for the subsequent play-offs , the teams in places nine to eleven took part in a relegation round.
