Teams of the 1st women's basketball league 2017/18

The 1st women's basketball Bundesliga 2017/18 was the 47th season of the top German division in women's basketball . The main round started on September 24, 2017 and ended on March 17, 2018 with the 22nd and final game day. This was followed by the final round of the best eight teams for the German championship, which was played as a play-off series and lasted until May 1, 2018.

The German champions were the Rutronik Stars Keltern for the first time , who beat defending champion TSV 1880 Wasserburg 3-0 (77:64, 68:67, 64:56) in the final series . The Rutronik Stars Keltern qualified for the Eurocup Women 2018/19.

Teams

At the end of the preseason, the Eisvögel USC Freiburg and the BG 89 AVIDES Hurricanes from Rotenburg (Wümme) had to relegate to the 2nd Bundesliga. The newcomers were the BG 74 Veilchen Ladies as champions of the northern season and the AXSE BasCats USC Heidelberg as champions of the southern season of the 2nd DBBL .

The main round of the 2017/18 season was played between September 2017 and March 2018. The eight best teams qualified for the subsequent play-offs , the teams in positions eleven and twelve had to be relegated directly to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the event of a tie, the direct comparison decided the placements.

    Play-offs

    In the final series, the Rutronik Stars Keltern defeated the series champion and last year's winner TSV 1880 Wasserburg in the best-of-five mode with 3: 0 (77:64, 68:67, 64:56). Third in the championship was the Herner TC , who prevailed in the best-of-three mode against BC Pharmaserv Marburg (77:77, 78:60).
