The 2017/18 season was the 18th season of the German Para-Ice Hockey League . The season started on November 4, 2017 and ended on March 18, 2018. The Spielvereinigung Wiehl Penguins / Kölner Eisklub won the championship after SG Kamen / Wiehl had become German champions in 2008 and Cologne ice cream club in 2013 and 2014.

In comparison to the previous year, two new syndicates took part in gaming: the Spielgemeinschaft Preussen / Dresden and Dachau as SpvG Süd-Ost and the Spielgemeinschaft NRW consisting of players from the Kölner Eisklub and Wiehl Penguins .

The four participating teams played the season in the league system as a double round, each team played a total of 12 times and thus four times against each other team. The two rounds were played on a total of 12 game days at six locations and weekends.
There were three points for a win. In the event of a tie, a penalty shoot-out followed . The winner of the penalty shootout received two points and the losing team received one point.
