Devin Logan (born February 17, 1993 in Oceanside , New York ) is an American freestyle skier . She starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Logan has been participating in FIS and AFP World Tour competitions since 2009 . In February 2010 she got her first podium finishes at the Snowmass Open in Aspen with third place in slopestyle and on the halfpipe . At the beginning of the 2010/11 season, she won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in Cardrona on the halfpipe and in slopestyle. In the further course of the season she reached third place on the halfpipe and first place in slopestyle at The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series in Northstar at Tahoe . At the 2011 Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Park City , she finished fifth in both halfpipe and slopestyle competitions. In March 2011 she won the bronze medal on the halfpipe at the Winter X Games Europe in Tignes . In the same month she completed her first FIS World Cup race in La Plagne , which she finished in second place. She finished the season in first place in the AFP World Tour halfpipe rating and first place in the AFP World Tour overall ranking. At the beginning of the following season she won gold in the halfpipe and slopestyle competition at the New Zealand Winter Games in Cardrona . This was followed by a second place in the slopestyle and a first place on the halfpipe at The North Face New Zealand Freeski Open in Cardrona . In the Winter Dew Tour, she took two second places in Killington and a third place in slopestyle and a win in the halfpipe competition in Snowbasin . In March 2012, she came second in the Slopestyle World Cup in Mammoth . In the same month she won the gold medal in slopestyle at the Junior World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco . She won the silver medal in the slopestyle competition at the Winter X Games 2012 in Aspen and in the halfpipe competition at the Winter X Games Europe 2012 in Tignes. In the Slopestyle World Cup she finished third at the end of the season. As in the previous year, she won the overall ranking in the AFP World Tour. In the Slopestyle classification she came in third place. In August 2012 she won her first World Cup victory in the halfpipe competition in Cardrona .

At the beginning of the 2013/14 Olympic season, Logan won again in the World Cup in Cardrona in the halfpipe competition. In the further course of the season she won the Slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and at the US Grand Prix in Park City . She took second place on the halfpipe at The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series in Copper Mountain and third place at The North Face New Zealand Freeski Open in Cardrona and at the World Cup in Breckenridge . At her first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , she won the silver medal in the first-ever slopestyle competition. She finished the season in second place in the AFP World Tour Slopestyle Ranking. She took first place in the Halfpipe World Cup and in the AFP World Tour overall ranking. In the 2014/15 season she won the Canadian Open Championship in Calgary on the halfpipe. In the World Cup, she finished second in Copper Mountain and Park City , making it third in the Halfpipe World Cup. In the AFP World Tour she won the overall ranking for the fourth time.

At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , Logan won her third World Cup victory in the halfpipe competition in Cardrona . In the further course of the season she came in the top ten six times in the World Cup, including second place in the halfpipe in Mammoth, thus winning the overall World Cup. She also came second in the Halfpipe World Cup. At the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen , she took seventh place in the slopestyle and halfpipe and sixth place in the halfpipe at the X-Games Oslo 2016 . After finishing third in the halfpipe at the beginning of the 2016/17 season at the World Cup and US Grand Prix in Copper Mountain, she was eighth in Big Air, seventh in slopestyle and fourth in halfpipe at the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen . In February 2017, she finished second in the halfpipe at the World Cup in Pyeongchang . At the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell , she won the bronze medal in slopestyle and took seventh place in the Big Air competition. In mid-March 2017 she won the bronze medal in the halfpipe at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Sierra Nevada and also took sixth place in slopestyle. In the 2017/18 season she achieved five top ten placements, including third place in Mammoth and second place in Copper Mountain, 38th place in the overall World Cup and seventh place in the Halfpipe World Cup. In January 2018 she was sixth in the slopestyle and fifth in the halfpipe at the Winter X Games in Aspen. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, she came 15th in the halfpipe and tenth in slopestyle.

In 2019 Logan was banned for three months for a doping offense .
