Devonta Freeman (* 15. March 1992 in Baxley , Georgia ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played as running back for the Atlanta Falcons from 2014 to 2019 .
college
Freeman attended Florida State University and played for the Florida State Seminoles from 2011 to 2013 . With the Seminoles , he won the 2014 BCS National Championship Game 34-31 against the Auburn Tigers . He finished the season with 1,016 yards , 278 yards from passing catches and 15 touchdowns .

Atlanta Falcons
Devonta Freeman was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2014 NFL Draft in the fourth round. In his rookie season he shared the operating times with Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rogers and came to 248 yards and a touchdown in 65 attempts . In addition, he caught passes for 225 yards and another touchdown. On the third day of the 2015 season he was named a starter and ran eight touchdowns in the next four games alone, including three each against the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans . After seven game days, he led the NFL in run yards (621) and run touchdowns (9). On February 5, 2017, he was with the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl LI , which was lost at 28:34. He ran 75 yards and one touchdown in eleven runs and caught two passes for 46 yards. On October 16, 2018, Freeman was placed on the Injured Reserve List by the Falcons .
On March 16, 2020, Freeman was released from the Falcons.
