Didn't It Rain is the second album by British musician and actor Hugh Laurie . It was released on May 6, 2013 under the Warner Music Group label and, like Laurie's first album Let Them Talk , consists of cover versions of well-known blues and jazz standards .

Emergence

The album was recorded in January 2013 at Ocean Way Studio in Los Angeles by Laurie and his backing band The Copper Bottom Band . In addition, the guest singers Taj Mahal , Gaby Moreno and Jean McClain appear on several songs.

In order to focus on recording the album, Laurie turned down the role of Raymond Sellars in RoboCop (2014) .
