The ice princess (original title: Ice Princess ) is an American Disney film from 2005.
action
The ambitious and a little shy high school student Casey Carlyle studies the effects and calculation of physical forces. Your goal is to apply for a scholarship at Harvard with a corresponding work . To this end, she wants to carry out practical studies based on the movement models of figure skaters . Here she meets the trainer and former Olympic participant Tina Harwood as well as Tina's daughter Jen and son Teddy. After initial difficulties, she was allowed to conduct her studies and quickly became enthusiastic about the sport. She starts to train with Tina and can qualify for an important tournament in a competition.
Her mother, who accidentally learns of the plan, tries to dissuade Casey from her plans because she thinks the scholarship is more important. Tina also works against Casey, fearing that she could compete with her daughter Jen. After Casey also fails, she withdraws into her studies. However, during the interview at Harvard, she finally realizes her passion for sport. She persuades Tina to train with her for a national elimination competition. When her mother shows up for this tournament at the last moment, Casey finally manages to qualify.
