Escape to Witch Mountain (Original title: Escape to Witch Mountain ) is an American fantasy film with science fiction -elements of John Hough from 1975. It is the film adaptation of the novel by Alexander Key .

Tia and Tony are two orphans with extraordinary powers. Lucas Deranian poses as her uncle in the orphanage, only to hand her over to his boss Aristotle, who wants to use her magic powers for himself. The film based on the novel " Escape to Witch Mountain " (German translation: " Die Kinder vom Another Stern ") by Alexander Key opened in American cinemas on March 21, 1975 and in German cinemas on January 29, 1976. The German first release on DVD took place on February 12, 2004.
The film was the template for a TV film of the same name from 1995 with Robert Vaughn in the lead role, as well as for the film The Hunt for Magic Mountain from 2009 with Dwayne Johnson and AnnaSophia Robb .
