AnnaSophia Robb (born December 8, 1993 in Denver , Colorado ) is an American actress .
Life
Growing up with her parents Janet M. and David Robb, she was discovered by McDonald’s at the age of ten and signed for a commercial. She gained international fame for the first time with a role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , in which she stood in front of the camera alongside Johnny Depp , Christopher Lee and Freddie Highmore . Robb celebrated another decisive success in 2007 with the children's film Brücke nach Terabithia .
While filming The Reaping , she wrote a short horror story called Backseat Swamp . She is also proficient in break dance and Irish dance .
In 2011 she starred in the film Soul Surfer as surfer Bethany Hamilton . In the Sex-and-the-City - prequel - youth series The Carrie Diaries of the broadcaster The CW Robb was seen from January 2013 to January 2014 for two seasons in the lead role of Carrie Bradshaw . The prequel is based on the novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell .
