The nomination ( Running Mates ) is an American comedy film directed by Ron Lagomarsino from 2000 .

action

The governor James Reynolds Pryce is running for the office of US president and is considered the most promising candidate of his party. His campaign manager, Lauren Hartman, has worked with him for years. She's not afraid to harass a politician in the men's room if he doesn't take her calls. Lauren was in a relationship with Pryce before he married Jenny.

Shawna Morgan - who was also earlier with Pryce - gives him contacts in the world of the media and brings him together with the donors.

Pryce has to decide whether Senator Terrence Randall or Senator Mitchell Morris should run for Vice President . Hartman prefers Randall and has it spread in the media that Pryce is against Morris.

The party assembly nominates Pryce by a large margin. Morris gets slightly more votes than Randall, although Hartman tries to prevent it. Pryce announces to Hartman that he has chosen Morris. Hartman was released.
