Bruce Travis McGill (born July 11, 1950 in San Antonio , Texas ) is an American actor .

Life

Bruce McGill is best known in the United States for the role of D-Day in the 1978 comedy I think a horse kicks me . In Germany he achieved a certain prominence as the recurring character Jack Dalton in the television series MacGyver .

In the cinema he took on one of his few leading roles in Deep Core . McGill played major supporting roles in Timecop , The Attack (2002) and Collateral .

His television guest appearances range from Back to the Past , Walker, Texas Ranger , CSI: Tracking Down the Criminals , Star Trek: Spaceship Voyager as Captain Braxton in the episode Timeship Relativity , to Babylon 5 as Major Ed Ryan in the episode The Criminal Action of the Third Season. He often plays the main character's best friend. 2010-2016 he played one of the leading roles in the crime series Rizzoli & Isles . His work includes more than 140 film and television productions.
