Minor characters

In the various episodes the octonauts also meet other sea creatures. The octonauts themselves and these sea creatures speak in different accents. For example, the crabs have a French accent (for example, they say "na güt" instead of "na good").

vehicles

The octopod itself is the underwater base where the octonauts live. It looks like a huge octopus. In the middle, the "head" so to speak, is the navigating bridge with screens and computers. The rooms in which octonauts live are connected to the command bridge with hoses. The octopod stands on the sea floor, but can also move and be steered like a ship.

GUPPY A is a propeller-driven underwater vehicle that is mainly used by the captain and looks like a deep-sea frogfish .

GUPPY B looks like a tiger shark and is the fastest vehicle, including a turbo button.

GUPPY C looks like a blue whale and can tow other vehicles.

GUPPY D looks like a giant manta ray .

GUPPY E is the ambulance vehicle. It's green and looks like a guppy .

GUPPY F is a pedal-powered metal vehicle. It appears for the first time to catch GUPPY A when it escaped as a result of a defective remote control.

GUPPY S is a submarine that looks like a narwhal due to a drill point attached to the front . The 'Guppy S' can be divided into two independent vehicles, whereby the front part can be used as an amphibious snowmobile. The remaining, rear part can drive on the seabed with the help of a chain drive. The 'Guppy S' is presented in the special episode "The Octonauts and the Over and Under Adventure".

GUPPY X is a strong and stable vehicle that Trixie gave Captain Barnius for Christmas, it can drive on the sea floor - similar to a bulldozer .

series

Each episode includes exploring and, as a result, saving or protecting the sea creatures or apparitions. If the octonauts themselves or the sea creatures to be researched are in danger, Captain Barnius always triggers the "octo alarm". For example, he calls out: "Kwasi - set off the octo alarm!" - whereupon Kwasi presses a button with the logo of the octonauts and Captain Barnius sends the octonauts with the words "octonauts - into the lock room!" or "Octonauts - into the control room!" calls together. All octonauts have glass helmets that extend over their entire heads and that they can put on at the push of a button so that they can go into the water. They also have radio contact with each other and with the Octopod via these helmets. At the end of some episodes, the octonauts still sing the "octolong" (initiated by Captain Barnius with "Kwasi - Lös das Oktolied aus!"), Which again deals with the explored sea creature, among other things, real scenes are sometimes shown on the monitors displayed on the navigating bridge.
