action

Pinocchio is a normal boy now. His father Gepetto is still a wood carver. He is working on a puppet for the royal puppet competition in order to get a position at court with his work. Pinocchio, on the other hand, wants to become an entrepreneur with a friend.

At the fair, the two meet Madame Flambeau. They want to buy an elixir from her for Gepetto, who is suffering from exhaustion, which will give him strength again. But since there is no money for it, Pinocchio agrees to work for Madame Flambeau. However, he does not know that he should work as a puppet, into which Madame Flambeau wants to transform him with the alleged elixir. In addition, Felinet and Volpe, with whom Pinocchio already dealt in the first part, are after them for revenge.

The magic potion is administered by Pinocchio Gepetto in the evening, who wakes up the next morning as a puppet. He will be picked up for the first performance. Pinocchio also drinks the potion to save Gepetto. Only the girl Blue can save them.

background

This is the last film from director Anderson, who was 79 years old when it was set.

Reviews

"A continuation of Collodi's classic children's book, which is imaginatively equipped, but uses rather simple means to reach its target audience," says the lexicon of the international film . "The moral impulses of the original template are also lost from sight."
