Dieter Anders

Dieter Anders (born January 12, 1944 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German lawyer . He was attorney general in Frankfurt am Main .

Life

After his military service, Anders studied law from 1965 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . He has been a member of the KDStV Arminia Heidelberg in the CV since 1965 . After the first and second state exams , he worked for the Frankenthal public prosecutor's office from 1973 . In 1981 he switched to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office as a research assistant . In 1987 he became head of department at the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Justice , and in 1988 he became senior public prosecutor as permanent representative of a senior public prosecutor in Frankenthal. After serving as acting head of the Gera public prosecutor's office in 1990, he was appointed senior public prosecutor at the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in 1991 . In 1995 he was visiting professor at the United Nations Asia and Far East Institute (UNAFEI) in Fuchū .

From May 1, 2001 to February 1, 2009, he was Attorney General at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main and in his role headed the public prosecutor's office at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main. He was retired on February 1, 2009.

Anders was involved in numerous large German judicial cases. For example, he is on the Advisory Council for the amendment of telephone and postal surveillance in apartments. He is also an expert for the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on the establishment of rule-of-law criminal prosecution systems in the states of the former Warsaw Pact and in Albania.

He is a colonel in the reserve and a member of the Clausewitz Society .
