The Dillerbach is a 10.46 kilometer long orographically right tributary of the Kyrbach in Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany . The stream changes its name several times throughout its course, and is managed by the Rhineland-Palatinate water management authority as Dillerbach with the river code number 254246.
geography
The stream rises near Lautzenhausen at an altitude of 463 m above sea level. NN . From here it flows off in an easterly direction and flows through Sohren . Below Sohren, the stream is recorded as the Grundbach . Flowing further to the east, the Niedersohren brook passes . With the mouth of the Unterbach near Niedersohrenerhof, the brook is called Dillerbach. Here it turns its course to the south. The Siehlbach flows about a kilometer below Niedersohrenerhof before the Bach Dill reaches. The village on a mountain spur flows around the Dillerbach in a loop on the western edge of the village. South of Dill, the stream turns again to the east and flows about 2.5 kilometers downstream as the Sohrbach into the Kyrbach . The mouth is 332 m above sea level. NN .
On its 10.46 kilometer long path, the Dillerbach overcomes a difference in altitude of 131 meters, which corresponds to an average bed gradient of 12.5 ‰. It drains a 27.618 km² catchment area via Kyrbach, Hahnenbach , Nahe and Rhine to the North Sea .
Water condition
The Dillerbach is one of the coarse material-rich, silicate low mountain streams (type 5). Its water structure quality is given for the upper and middle reaches to Dill predominantly as very strongly changed. In the lower reaches, the structure is classified somewhat better with clearly to strongly changed. The water quality in the upper reaches to Niedersohren is given as critically polluted, from Niedersohren to the mouth as moderately polluted.
Flora and fauna
The Sohrbach flows between Dill and the estuary through extensively used valley meadows, on the bank there are mainly willows and alders that are hardly used economically today. Gray herons and mallards are the most common water birds in the Bachtal.
